Mindfulness
Life is busy. In the whirlwind of everyday life, it’s easy to lose connection with the present moment. Research has shown that practicing mindfulness can help us fully engage in daily activities and improve both emotional and physical wellbeing. Adopting a mindfulness practice does not have to be complicated and time-consuming, it can be as simple as focusing your attention on a single activity like washing the dishes, cutting apple slices, or taking a walk.
Mindfulness brings your attention out of racing thoughts and back into the present moment, breaking the feeling that everything is happening all at once. Breathing exercises gently settle the body, reducing the sense of urgency or pressure and helping you feel more resourced and able to take things one step at a time. Here you’ll find a few resources to help you get started on your mindfulness journey.
